Biden's Humiliation and the Justice That Awaits

Inflation, Energy, Immigration, the Military, Harris, Roe. Biden is a disaster on all counts.

Inflation is rampant and cannot be explained away. Although not entirely his fault, Biden is left holding the bag and this is the single crucial influencer for voting.

Biden’s energy policies are pretzeled. Our nation’s previous status as a net producer and exporter of fossil fuel was gutted by his executive fiat with no balancing solution, and the price of oil has nearly doubled worldwide. This empowers weak and chaotic third world economies like Russia, Venezuela, and Iran.

The silliness is escalated with a background drum snare tattoo that high fuel pump prices will help our nation go electric. Who the heck thought THAT was a good idea to embrace?

Biden’s immigration policy is suicidal. The southern border has leaked like a sieve for 16 months, but at least a cool head maintained the COVID protocol/excuse on the books. When it is rescinded this month the border will resemble a Walmart on Black Friday. In the meantime, our children are still masked at school.

The military establishment in Biden’s administration is particularly embarrassing and its failure of execution in exiting Afghanistan will go down in US history as our nation’s greatest, and weakest, defeat. Thousands of US citizens have been abandoned and billions in materiel left adrift and at risk in that craphole. Worse, tens of thousands of unvetted Afghans have come to America. Good for them, but who is thinking that through and following up?

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, is a clown more concerned about CRT, transgender rights, and climate hysteria than lean and mean warfighting. His serious prediction in a congressional hearing a month ago that Kiev would fall in three days is particularly concerning. Are there no experts in the Pentagon? Milley also reminds me of a North Korean martinet strutting with overweight medals hanging painfully onto his own overweight frame. He is a caricature of pomposity and incompetence.

I have no idea how best to corner Russian aggression, but Milley and the military class of careerists should have table top war-gamed the current scenario many times since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the removal of nuclear weapons from the Ukraine in 1994. Where is a Colin Powell when you need him?

The most humiliating aspect of the Biden presidency is the lack of a legitimate heir to the party, as Biden’s days tick away with a profound lack of popular respect.

Kamala Harris is inept, does not prep any remarks, can’t read a room or a brief, has churned through 12 key staffers in as many months and cannot point to a single good day. It appears as though the White House is killing her by letting her die by her own hand. Biden’s team wants her to fail, inexplicably, which is gruesome to consider. She ain’t gonna quit since she is a breath away from the big job and becoming Number 47… Biden could pass on, or be ruled incompetent, or resign when his hot mess son Hunter is indicted, and Harris will be the boss, as unpopular and disrespected a public figure can be beyond fiction. The Democrats have no inspiring leader to carry the flag of their party, and when hope is lost, all is lost.

But. The Republicans can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on one issue this November alone. The US Supreme Court should overturn Roe and that will explode in June. Good riddance to bad law and praise God the tide turns on indiscriminate lethality and all that entails in subjugating women as commodities and pregnancy as inconvenience and abortion as a money-making enterprise.

Overturning Roe will not make abortion illegal. It will take the issue back to the states for appropriate legislation by elected representatives who can and should be held accountable at the polls now and in the future.

The problem for the good guys is that the issue is squarely moral and thickened emotionally and will become a Democrat rallying cry; it will be effective if the cultural groundswell arcs to women’s rights of autonomy instead of bending to the most vulnerable human right to live and be protected – not just by society, but by its own mother, fercryinoutloud.

Republicans take note and have your own rallying cry: a Baltimore Planned Parenthood facility has publicly advertised that its vendor, Curtis Bay Energy, will “safely convert infectious biomedical waste to useful energy.” Not exactly a Green Dream Team. Not just disgraceful, this is beyond barbaric and inhuman.

Abortion is not about women’s rights. It is about whether a community, a state, a nation values the defenseless and innocent and can separate the act of abortion from the need for prudence, personal sacrifice, love, and justice for all.

Being pro-life is being pro-woman. That’s the message. Unless Republicans can rally behind the most important of values – our children and their future – the Democrats will prevail in the next election cycle in spite of themselves.

The Dems have plenty of runway to humiliate themselves, but Roe may prove to be their only hope.

The Democrats should take heed from H.L. Mencken: “Injustice is relatively easy to bear. What stings is justice.”
